It's That Time of Year Again!!!

The GECDSB Digital Photography Contest is Here!

2016 Greater Essex County District School Board Student Digital Photography Exhibition

The 11th annual GECDSB Student Digital Photography Exhibition will take place at the Gibson Gallery in Amherstburg from Thursday, May 19th to Sunday, June 5th 2015.

Students are invited to submit entries in three categories:

1. Black and White

2. Colour

3. Digitally Enhanced or Altered Using Computer Software

Entries will be displayed at the Gallery during the exhibition and a panel of judges will determine winners for the Primary, Junior, Intermediate and Senior divisions for the three categories. An awards reception will be held at the Gibson Gallery from 2-4pm on Sunday, 5th June, with awards presented to winning entries from 3pm. Teachers of winning students will be notified after the judging is complete.

Details on how to enter the contest can be found on the attached submission sheet. Please note the format requirements for entries. A sample entry is attached to this message. Please ensure that the student name, grade, and school is written clearly on the back of the entry.

The Gallery will be open from 11am-5pm, Thursday to Sunday for the duration of the exhibition.

 Important Dates:

Submissions due by Tuesday May 10th for Miss Bilton to get printed.
Students will meet on the 11th and 12th to prepare final mounted prints.
You can enter 1 picture per category only.
Each picture must have a tile and an accompanying line, see sample link below.
All mount materials will be provided.
Costs of printing will be offset by Miss B.
