Student Inquiry Science Project

Click this link to access the information sheet, success criteria, final checklist, and rubric for our Science Inquiry Project.

Student Inquiry Project

Please note that in order for an accurate assessment of student work all research and report writing must be completed at school. Students will be given ample opportunities to access technology for this purpose. Materials may be collected from home (books, computer print-outs) and brought to school for the project. Students will be allowed to bring their work home to compile into a final bulletin board.

This is going to be fun!!!

We will also be combining all our learning into a project where we will create a survey, compile our data, and present it on a bulletin board.

Science: Human Organ Systems
We have begun our Human Organ Systems unit. We are very excited to be learning all the ways our body works to keep us healthy. We are also working on Environmental posters to show what we have learned about the negative consequences of making chemical changes to matter and how it impacts our environment.

Reading:
We have been reading a new novel called Camp X. The students are loving it. Please see previous post for links to the official Camp X website as well as questions.

Writing:
We are setting goals. Students have been tasked with the dilemna of what they want to achieve academically for the next term. We will be developing steps to help us achieve our goals as well as a way to monitor. We will then present it all in a written piece.

Drama:
We have begun to learn about drama. We have been practicing using exaggerated facial expression to show emotion, and exaggerated gesturing and movement. We have learned about miming and will be doing several practice and presentations using miming techniques.

Physical Education:
We will be continuing our Basketball unit once our gym is reopened after getting a new floor.
